Helping a Regional Telco take steps to Increase Turnover

With a focus on offering telecommunications products and services to businesses outside the Greater London area, this young telecommunications company, run by a very ambitious management team, has experienced rapid growth since starting 4 years ago.

Objectives

As a fairly new entrant this company was reliant on some of the larger players in the sector for some of its services. The management team was keen to:

  • Build capacity by becoming a Tier 2 telecommunications provider
  • Improve profit margins
  • Introduce new (more profitable) products

Platinum’s Value

 After discussions with the directors, we spent a month working with the finance director to:

  1. Prepare a strategic business plan that identified the best new products to develop.
  2. Follow through with an operational plan that documented the equipment, people and other operational resources required to achieve their objectives.
  3. Develop a funding proposal that would allow them to raise the funds necessary to implement their plan.

A Great Result

On presentation of this realistic business plan, funding was successfully achieved.  The client is now a tier 2 provider with their own license and the attendant increased profit margins on new and existing service lines.
